Re: HD Box Price Drop
No-one knows the answer yet. Plenty of opinion, but no real info.
You would think that 1st they will drop the extra HD fee for multiroom, then they would drop the fee for Premium subs and maybe reduce the fee for non-premium subs.
I'd be surprised to see it completely go within the next 9mths (maybe this time next year to boost sales?).
SkyHD has 30HD channels. Freesat has BBCHD which only broadcasts in the evenings and ITVHD which is only available via the 'red' button and as such not recordable.
You get what you pay for and for £10pm you get a hell of a lot compared to £0pm for HD on freesat.

Re: HD Box Price Drop
I think what is more likely to happen is that they will split the package, and have it as a 2 tier system.
Basically, if you don't have the premium packages, I reckon they drop the subscription fee to around £5/month instead of ten, as you lose 13 channels that way (Sky Movies, Sky Sports and Disney cinemagic)
Then, if you want the rest, you need to pay the extra fiver.
A lot of people would then take up the HD subs, cos they don't want to be stuck paying for channels they can't get.

Re: HD Box Price Drop
It took 6 years for the Sky+ charge to be dropped so if that translated to HD we are in for a long wait.
I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!
