      Re: Can I ?

I can confirm that Sky+ will not record or play back after you cancel UNLESS you tell them at the time of cancellation that you want to continue to pay 10 a month for the recording facility. Frankly, it's best to do this by Recorded Delivery letter because some of the Sky operators don't even know it's possible.

After you cancel, your viewing card will become a FreesatFromSky card (so you'll still get CH5 etc.)

So you cannot set manual recordings?

That's a bit of a dumb idea, I understand that they may not wanting you to use their planner to set recordings but to totally disable the record and playback function seems wrong

As many people actually own their Sky+ box is there nothing legal that stops companys from disabling your own equipment that you have paid for?

      Re: Can I ?

at the mo we have 2 sky plus boxes and was gonna go to freesat

will we still have to pay for the multi room if we ask sky to leave the plus features active or would we just have to pay the 10 for sky ?

      Re: Can I ?

You will have to pay 10 per Digibox if you want to record.
