A good deal for new customers,
but it looks like the Christmas Gift Box, repackaged.
Martin Lewis neglects the main advantage over Freeview.
Currently about 25% of people cannot receive Freeview.
And next year BBC/ITV launch their own Freesat.
So also see the Freesat forum on this site.
Especially the thread "Freesat and Sky threats!"

Anyone interested in knowing which channels are on Freesat
should see the good work done by Skyuser member skyfan.
Note the channels with an asterisk are Freesat.

      http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-t...nnel-list.html

The list is more accurate than the official
      Freesatfromsky website.

Re: New 79 'No Commitments' Package from Sky

      From this site:
      Dixons - Low Priced Electricals

"STOCK OF THIS SKY PRODUCT IS LIMITED.
IF YOU FIND IT 'TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK' PLEASE RE-VISIT US
LATER TODAY OR TOMORROW AS MORE STOCK IS DUE WITH US IN THE
NEXT 24 HOURS. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE"

Is the above message on the Dixons site
      an indication of demand?

If you cannot get it, check out

      In summary payless suggests:

A new Sky customer who uses quidco to buy a 2 package mix
      can get the following deal.
A 12 months Sky contract with two mixes, and quidco cashback,
      will cost you about 90.
Then you cancel and get the Freesat channels only.
It includes equipment and installation but you will be committing
      to a 12 month contract.
You are getting 12 months of 2 mixes plus freesat for only 11
      more than the Dixons deal.
(I have never used quidco but it looks good.)
