Ospreys and T In The Park

I don't know if anyone on here realises there are problems that the T In The Park rock festival scheduled to take place in 2015 at a new venue in Scotland faces being cancelled at Strathallan Estate in Scotland because a pair of nesting Ospreys are nesting there and have done so in recent years. Ospreys have special protection within UK law as they are on schedule 1 of the countryside and wildlife act, which means there nest site can't be disturbed. I'm concerned that the organisers are still hoping to go ahead with this rock festival despite the Ospreys nesting there and some of the wildlife conservation organisations seem to be dragging there feet over the situation with this. The local authority haven't yet given permission for this rock festival to go ahead, but by the law in the UK, the rock festival shouldn't be allowed to go ahead.
      Ian.

I don't think the youngsters are very keen on the venue. My granddaughter and her friends have usually booked and paid by now, this year they are not interested. A bit too much in the 'sticks' for them.

Yes, but the ospreys like the sticks. They use them for their nests.
