      a storm is-a-coming...

Well I am sure that a few have already taken action now.

If you have been watching ITV2, then you know what 'The Perfect Storm' looks like. In case you missed it, it will be repeated next Saturday evening, but you'll probably be sick of the subject by then.

The feed on twitter is in full swing...

      https://twitter.com/search?q=%23stor...ypd&f=realtime

(anyone seen the cat?) <--- read the twitter feed first!!!

So I am wondering how many of you have secured your dishes or can post pics of the storm near where you are?

Do remember that if you travel to work by public transport that most train companies have already stated that they will not start the first train until 8am or 9am tomorrow morning.

Getting ready for it by watching 2012.

At least my freeview aerial is in the loft so when my dish goes walkabouts I'll still get access to a load of rubbish tv.

I wonder if that pic was taken in the eye of the storm?

Well DynaRod came out this morning so now I can walk across the patio without wellington boots. The blockage was in a shared section of the drains so it didn't cost me anything. TV reception wasn't effected either. Thinking to myself that I had been lucky as I watched the remains of my neighbours garage being demolished.

VIDEO Eclipse Internet Shows Real-time Impact of UK Storm on Broadband - ISPreview UK
Broadband ISP Eclipse Internet has uploaded a truly fascinating new video that shows the real-time impact of Monday’s fierce St Jude’s Day storm on Internet connections across the south of England. We haven’t seen anything quite like this before so it’s worth a look.

Eclipse’s Managing Director, Clodagh Murphy, explained that their Internet connectivity monitoring tool clearly shows dropped connections (the yellow, orange and red dots) as the storm tracked from west to east.

As reported on Monday (here), many of the outages are likely to have been caused by related power cuts, electrical interference from thunder and lighting, downed telegraph poles / cut cables and localised flooding etc. The video below indicates that the east of England took the biggest beating, at least in terms of power and broadband connectivity.
