      Nexus 4

      Any takers?

With a higher spec than phones like the galaxy s3 and iPhone 5 but starting at only 240 you have to think Google have half a chance of cleaning up with it.

I paid 420 for this Sony Xperia S only 6 months ago and I'd happily take 200 for it just to get rid do I could get my hands on the pure android experience the Nexus 4 offers, all this manufacturer crap that gets forced on you gets right on my nipples.

It has a few shortcomings, but not deal breakers for me. Seriously considering getting it as it's a complete bargain.

I didn't say I had 16GB of music on my phone, I said dropping to 16GB meant I would have to have less music on my phone

The Nexus 4 has 16GB so by the time you take away the room for the OS and room for apps you are probably looking at 12GB usable. I currently have 8.42GB of music on this phone but I also have 12GB free space so I can afford to just keep slapping new stuff on.

BTW when I am at home it's still my main source of listening to music because it sounds delightful

If you were to install Skifta on your phone and have Skifta running on a PC at home, you could stream your music from home via a DLNA sharing device.

I can do this on my connection now. With a faster upload I would be able to stream video content too.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

      Re: Nexus 4

Google is finally launching Google Music in the UK (may even be out now?).

It's like iTunes Match in that it will scan and "match" your existing music library, and make it available for streaming... But unlike iTunes Match, it's free. With that and other cloud services, I don't think that storage space is as much of an issue as it used to be.

If I were to ever leave the Apple ecosystem and move to Android, the only kind of device I'd consider would be something like the Nexus 4 - lovely phone, and you're not at the mercy of the manufacturers or networks when it comes to software updates.
