Anyone claimed back their PPI payments?

There are literally 1000's of adverts everywhere you look for reclaiming PPI - At a cost of anything between 10 to 30% of the claim.

Has anyone reclaimed it by themselves?

So far, just from sending 3 letters, (at a cost of about 1.50) I have had success with 2 out of 3 reclaims, amounting to nearly 600 for a credit card, and just under 1900 from an old loan.

I rang HFC the other day for a loan taken out in 2006 and I reckon if they accept my claim for that, it will be close to 5k back on that as well.

Anyone claimed back their PPI payments?

Well I've had a text telling me I am owed 3350 from missold ppi. Odd as ivenever taken out ppi. I'm also owed a fortune from various accidents I've had. To be fair I should probably claim those as they have left me with amnesia.

I reclaimed some from Santander, just rang them and explained why I thought it had been mis-sold, they sent me a letter confirming what i'd told them which I had to sign and send back. A couple of weeks later a letter arrived saying they'd accepted my claim along with a cheque for the full amount plus interest.

It was no hassle at all and certainly, for me, there was no need to pay a percentage to anyone for the tiny amount of effort.

Chicken feed. The big money is to be had by claiming back all those tax refunds you're owed...

Re: Anyone claimed back their PPI payments?

i did years ago on a loan that I had paid off a fews years prior to claiming. the company that i worked for did these claims amongst others so i got back the full amount. also when bank charges were a big thing i got all these back as well but you can no longer do this.

definitely worth having a go but check the amount that you are owed as the banks/credit card company may make you an offer but it may not be the full amount

Looks liek I may have to.

Just been mugged by the kids, haircut for the missus, I got a couple of cycling tops and some shorts, and a wireless connector. As well as a MOT for the car, tax, and a starter motor, not much left now lol
