Re: BT Playing 'Tough Cookie To Crack' Games

Well, it seems that BT do listen when you email the Chief Executive.

Thank you for your email addressed to Gavin. Gavin has asked me to give you a call to see if I can help put things right. I’ve just tried you on your home number but got your voice mail. I’ve left you a message with my contact details, but just to confirm again you can contact me on 01977xxxxxx or just drop me an e-mail.

I am truly sorry for the poor customer service you have received and for the incorrect information you were gave by my colleague in relation to the package for 10.00 a month.
I looked into your account and the call you made on 17 September and my colleague did offer you a package for 10.00 a month which included the Unlimited Anytime plan you currently have but all gave you up to 1000 minutes per month to UK mobile calls. I am sorry my colleague offered you this package as it was no longer available. I will be highlighting this to the advisor concerned and also his manager so that this is not repeated in future.
The package we do have is 8.00 a month which includes the Unlimited Anytime plan plus gives you half price rates to UK mobiles. (line rental separate).
I can see that you have since contacted another telephone provider to transfer your service over to them which is due to complete on 08 November. I am sorry to hear that you are leaving BT.
I am aware that your original call was to see if you were able to block mobile calls from your line. You were advised of a call barring service which costs 3.15 a month which you were not happy with.
To say sorry in light of the poor customer service you received, I would like to offer you 30.00 as a goodwill gesture as full and final settlement to your complaint.

Naturally I am going to accept the 30 and then get a Sky Hub.

Re: BT Playing 'Tough Cookie To Crack' Games

Well, true to their word, BT have now credited my BT account with 30 - I just have to wait for Sky to take over the line on 8th November and then BT will raise a closing invoice, and as I pay upfront quarterly, should have a nice little refund due at that point.

If they had of excercised this sort of CS before, then I would probably still be a customer and not even considered looking elsewhere.

I suspect that you would have eventually made the mode to Sky's Line rental one day.

Since Fibre is rolling out in your area, would you have gone to someone else?

P.S. With this and the two cheques over the PPI issues, does this mean that there will be a Christmas bonus?

      lol

The first cheque has well and truly been spent, had to get the car sorted etc and then the kids mugged me at Primark.

BT money is going on a Hub, and the rest of whats left, looks like it is been well and truly spent as soon as it clears. So you may get a packet of Minstrels if any change.

Re: BT Playing 'Tough Cookie To Crack' Games

It appears that I am now on Sky Line Rental. Kids complained that the internet went off yesterday, but I was still in a bad way with my back so didn't chase anything up.

Just checked BT.com and it says a bill will be due 16th November 2012 - When it wasn't due til 7th December previously.

      Au revoir BT
