Naturally there are now calls for negative comments about public sector workers to be banned, etc. So much for free speech.

But as I always say, politics are the quickest way to start a row on internet forums. People seem incapable of talking about it without hurling insults at each other.
Cannot understand why people argue / row over politics. It's the most boring thing ever.

As for any of his comments, the only thing he did wrong was choose that programme to say them, like I said, I have heard a lot worse from other people who are actually full time comedians.

Anyone who has seen or heard of JC would realise that his sense of humour is just wrong, but in the same breath funny.

You either like him or you don't. I cannot stand Lee Evans although I accept millions of others do.

Ah, but this is the BBC we're talking about. A lot of people think it has a leftist bias, and I certainly agree with them. There was even an admission by some people at the top in the past that it was true, if I can find the source I'll post it.

Frankie Boyle for one, I can't stand him either.

He for one says a lot worse than anyone else. It causes a reaction, but still he has packed out shows. If you get offended easily then don't buy tickets or watch him on TV is kind of my point. No one forces you to do so.

Not aimed at you whatsoever BTW

I think I said earlier, I blame the bbc for having clarkson on. What did they expect. If he'd been on QI and said it then it wouldn't have made the news, even the comment about suicide on the train tracks as sick as it may have been.

It's pretty sad when this incident has been the headline regarding the plight. It was even the first question on Question Time.

The world does lose a sense of perspective at times.

Re: Clarkson puts his foot in it!

Has he released a book or a DVD or similar?

HAs to be the reason why IMO

21k of people don't like him fair enough. Build a bridge and get over it.

I'm sure his annual Xmas DVD is out.

      [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Clarkson-Powered-Up-DVD-Jeremy/dp/B005EXHPK6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323041726&sr=8-1"]Clarkson - Powered Up [DVD]: Amazon.co.uk: Jeremy Clarkson: Film & TV[/ame]. Released 7th Nov 2011

It was just satire at the end of then day. Edgy satire but noting more and nothing less. That's comedy. Comedy is to make fun of a situation and as such someone will always be offended.

There's far more important things going on in life to stress about.

The DVD will explain things for sure,

Totally agree mate, he obviously didn't mean it, he just took the pee out of a current situation.

Have to say it worked for him though, everyone is still talking about it. lol
