The prob with the Iphone, IMHO, is that it has to be "Apples' way or No Way" Again, even MS learned the hard way with IE, that you can't always impose your will and bundled software etc on people who actually pay to own your products...

Time will tell, but I think the brightest star on the Phone OS front at the moment, is Android shaped!

I think your right about Android being the choice OS for phone manufactures as they all want to compete with the IPhone, HTC are the leaders in the Android phone market with all the other manufactures playing catch up, I wonder if Google's Chrome OS with have as much impact on the world as well.

My phone is due for upgrade on 29th of this month. I did want an iPhone, now I think I want the HTC Desire.

      Decisions, decisions.

Well there's a remote desktop app for the Android which don't need any added software to the computer your connecting to, as long as the computer is RDC ready anyway, and yes there prob is an "App for that" for the IPhone lol.

I'm another HTC Desire Owner. It's superb. Best phone I've ever had.

Only 3 things that could be improved -

      1. Battery life (barely lasts a day if you play with the toys too much), but I do leave Bluetooth & Wi-fi on. However (unlike the iPhone) you can swap the battery out.

      2. I wish it had a video output like the Nokia N95.

      3. RDS would have been nice on the FM radio

      Well I finally decided.

I got an iPhone for moi and the HTC Desire for the missus - So either way I can see which one I like best. But don't tell her.

2 brand new phones for a little under the cost as to what we were paying before. Priceless. As well as getting out of the 18mth contract 3 months early.

      Re: Android or IPhone?

Anyone with an iPhone should take a look at the plastic tab inside the charger socket. If it's red, consider the warranty null and void, because Apple will. The little tabs inside the charger socket and the earpiece socket are moisture detectors, and when BBC Watchdog randomly stopped iPhone owners in the street, quite a few had red tags.
