I think if you have any flu symptoms and ring your GP / NHS direct you will be diagnosed as having swine flu anyway now as a precaution.
Ever since the NHS went from a containment phase to treatment phase this was the protocol.

The vast majority of people hopefully will just have flu like you for a few days and then get better.
There is the school of thought that its better to get it now, so if it does mutate into a more virulent n future you already have some antibodies so it won't affect you as much.

At the end of the day its just a flu virus, just nobody has had it before so noone has immunity, so its gonna spread like stink.
It just sounds bad though doesn't it...... "swine flu", like your a dirty infested creature for getting it.
Soon the stigma wil go though cos were all gonna get it

I just don't understand why we are one of the worst affected countries - particulary in Europe.

Very early on the WHO announced that they were not going to refer to the virus as Swine Flu, as there was really no reason for it. Unfortunately no one took this up, even a WHO spokeswoman used the term a few days after they decided not to use it.

Maybe it should have been call Mexican Flu, but I suppose then the Mexicans would have objected to being stigmatised. Unlike Animal Farm, pigs have no say in the matter.

Back to normal today, so hopefully thats it, I quite like pigs at least they dont lay about in you home licking their bums as domestic pets do
We havs a lot of people travelling to and through the U.K so thats prob why we have a large number of cases.
