      Angry Sky Changes & Renewal

Hello All' it's been quite a while since my last post I must admit I thought this site had closed very glad it is still going
My SkyQ contract expires soon & I am debating if I really want to renew
for another 18 month's in light of all the changes & price increases that has happened recently, loss of channel's SkyOne, Fox,
Hallmark/Universal etc & supposedly replaced by Sky Max which after looking at the schedule it's Crap !!!! Plus SkyShowcase which just repeats programs from other Sky Channels 🤔 so nothing new
It seems we are paying more for less.
I am just thinking that Sky no longer offers the value or choice it once did which is a shame.

      Just a Thought .........🦄

      Re: Sky Changes & Renewal

Hello All , I have just seen an article regarding a major update by Sky supposedly New Q box updates & boxes that will be broadband based : ie No Dish I hope that whatever this update or whatever they want to call it turns out to be it will be something worth having because I am now out of contract & I am seriously considering Cancelling my TV portion altogether , The channels we have lost & the extremely poor replacements along with price increases is derisive.
      Let's hope for Devine intervention.....
      !!!!! just a Thought ......☘

Streaming is the future! Been doing that for a few years now. Much cheaper than Sky contracts! Very turn-on-and-off-able…

You could always get a Freesat box and still have access to just about all the non-Sky programmes using your current satellite dish.

That is what I did. The content is still junk and repetative but at least you aren't paying for it. Plenty of free stuff on the web as well.

Freeview/Freesat is indeed rubbish. 10 minutes of content crammed into every 24 hours. Rather watch the 10 hour loop of Nyan Cat on Youtube. These corporations have bled us for years and now they're crapping a big brick because nobody under 35 watches their indoctrination stations anymore. I have become much happier since I began to curate my own content and stop watching the rubbish they're shovelling for a premium down our throats. I've dropped Netflix and TV licence and my HDHomerun is next on the list. Just not yet unfortunately as I'm not allowed to yet because of drag race UK or something like that the missus bangs on about.

      Re: Sky Changes & Renewal

Hello All , I must admit I have been thinking along those lines maybe a freesat box , my panasonic already has 4K + all the bells & whistles mostly not used as Sky Q has everything built in & it works really well , there are a few channels I would miss Discovery , Nat Geo, Sky Nature, Sky Witness & the
Q Box (2nd generation) is great but I suppose I can live without them the cost & loss of channels is really disappointing So a little more investigation & it will be Make Your Mind Up Time ....
      ..!!!!!
I will keep Sky Broadband + Talk just been given a New Hub + new contract 31 quid & Full Fibre on the way But with No TV payment a 61 quid saving !!!!!!! although SWMBO will soon discover a pressing need no doubt......... !!!!
where would I be without Her !!!!!
