Some viewers will simply need to retune Freeview TVs and digital boxes on 31st March 2016
Some equipment will make the changes automatically, some will prompt the viewer to accept a retune, some will require the viewer to carry out a retune - which most people find fairly straight forward

Children's channel CBBC is set to launch its extended evening schedule on Monday 11th April 2016.

The long-awaited extension of broadcast hours follows this week's closure of the BBC Three online linear promo channel, which timeshared CBBC's bandwidth between 7pm and 5:30am. With BBC Three removed from linear TV, CBBC will take two hours of BBC Three's former bandwidth and run until 9pm every night.

Re: BBC channel changes 31st march

The BBC Reception link is dead. Probably just as well if it is quoted correctly (both BBC1 and BBC2 on 115).

Using the old BBC3 slot for another BBC channel - what a good idea!

      Putting BBC1 on 115 - how stupid!

BBC viewers, SD is the future. You know it is true. Get on with it.

Re: BBC channel changes 31st march

BBC HD regions are not planned to start broadcasting on 101 until early 2017.
That is why BBC One HD on England moves to 115.
Its a sensible move for now I suppose.
Yes the reception advice lately has become rather muddled, not the great blogs format we all followed a few years back.

      BBC channel changes 31st march

It would have been nice if they had publicised this on air. I punched in 141 as usual and got the channel unavailable message. I then had to search for it on the EPG.

BBC Alba did not move yesterday. BBC had some technical issues with the moves.

The BBC has apologised after the planned move of Gaelic language channel BBC Alba on Sky was delayed.

Say what you like about the BBC, they've always been brilliant at farces.
