They have missed a trick by keeping elements of the original show, this was a chance for a total revamp and to take things in a new direction. The more you keep, the more you get compared to what was before. What came before was formulaic but it was always the interaction and delivery of the 3 former hosts that made the programme.

Weirdly, the older I have got the less I have liked Chris Evans and his "me, me, me" radio show is intolerable!

Matt LeBlanc works for me but should be kept out of the studio to work on pre-recorded films which is more suited to his strengths. I won't watch episode 2. Cue the BBC throwing more of our money at it and anyone who dares to criticise being called a "colleague beater apologist".

      Sigh.

I gave up after 30 boring minutes and then deleted the series link.

What a complete waste of license payers cash.

Evans seems to be taking things really well on Twitter...

The biggest problem with the new Top Gear is Chris Evans. FACT.
