I'm sure Russell Brand would resist making a certain phone call or two to the owners of Ford or Swift Group (makes Caravans).

As for Jonathan Ross, there a re few Cars I think he'd love to avoid reviewing too.

Perhaps Alan Carr or Graham Norton could be asked to join the crew? Certainly Michael McIntyre or Billy Connelly could add a different perspective to the show.

I am sure that some would love Brucey to be the new host.

He will reappear on either channel 4 or 5 after a short period, these two channels will snap him up to front a similar program.

At least J Ross had the foresight to get his name in the shows title.

Russia has their eyes set on him with interest.

      Re: Bye bye Jeremy.

Well we had the Chris Evans Top gear last night on BBC2.
It was not good in my view. Not watched much of Chris Evans over the years, he was very shouty and squeaky.
They just went with the same Clarkson/Hammond/May format.
The friend guy was very low voiced and precise, but not sure why he was chosen.

Was curious to see if it was any good, but will not be watching anymore of it.
A very dull episode to start with.
It did not have the oomph or fun element of the previous series to make it a worthwhile watch.

      Re: Bye bye Jeremy.

Yep totally agree. Matt LeBlanc (the friends guy) has been a guest on TG before and he is very slow, low voice etc. He's an actor not a presenter and that's how it all looked.... very scripted and not natural.

Now I know the old TG was all scripted, but the 3 of them made it feel natural and spontaneous.

It was a shame that they mirrored the format. I wished they'd changed it more. Trying to do the challenges was a mistake as they'll never match that of old TG.

Chris was Chris. He was doing his best to get the crowd actively involved (like TFI Friday).

It may get better in time, but no match for the other 3. Let's see what the Grand Tour has to offer in a couple of months.

      Re: Bye bye Jeremy.

Call me a party-pooper, but I have just never found what Chris Evans finds as humour to be funny.

Whenever he's on a programme I switch channels.
