Re: What will you be watching over this festive season?
Hello Scubbie
You are right that yesterday was a very nice day sunshine & quite warm on 2 Jan !!
But today Raining / windy awful !!.......
As for the 'New Shows NCIS series 12, Arrow, Foyles War, Broadchurch etc all should
be good : but I agree that some shows start well for a few seasons then seem to
lose the plot : maybe the writers run out of ideas !! I am hoping for better things
from Sky this year Maybe some new drama / thriller that is not another US reject !!
in which the trailer was the best bit !!
Just a Thought .........Have a good Day........

Yes the rain has most certainly been back this morning, although it isn't raining at the moment where I am. Looking at the rain radar app I have it should be clearing up where you are too, but there is more on the way.
The people who buy the TV Series can only go on previous performance when they are buying them before they are completed. A good example that hit the press due to a strike would be The Big Bang Theory. Hopefully now that all the stars in that have whooping pay packets, they will still be able to provide us with 24 minutes of fun for each episode.
Whilst Futurama is in its last season, there are plenty of other new series being developed elsewhere. It would be hard for you and I to predict which will be the next big hit.

A third series of Utopia would surely be a big hit, yet channel 4 insist on telling us they're not interested.

LOL.
True, but it did have over 1 million viewers at one point.
Add all the critical acclaim & statements from channel 4 about it being 'channel defining' & just seems stupid to axe it.

Re: What will you be watching over this festive season?
Hello All
I would have loved to have seen another series of CSI New York which for
me was a good series along with Las Vegas but it fell foul of US cuts........
But a New Series of Foyles War starts tonight : & tomorrow Broadchurch
returns I am not sure if they will be able to repeat the success of the first.
remains to be seen ? I think I read sometime that the ' Tunnel is set to
return on Sky !!........

Yep, Foyle's War has been a good series to date. Thanks for reminding me as the Series link needed to be checked and I'm upset as it picked it up, but ITV1 & ITV1+1 were both selected. I'd have preferred ITV1 HD to have been selected.

Re: What will you be watching over this festive season?
Hello Scubbie
Is it not possible to cancel the ITV1/ITV1+1 series link & reinstate the
link on ITV1HD & thus giving you the recording you wanted in the
first place ?
I am sure I must have done this myself at sometime or other !!

Re: What will you be watching over this festive season?
That is what I did but the new feature picked up the wrong channels, which is why I was upset.
I very rarely watch an SD channel when a HD variant is available. I know that I recorded Foyle's War off ITV3 HD or ITV4 HD when it was rerun. It should therefore of picked up ITV1 HD.
