Thanks anyway, I gave up and went back to opnSense. Bought myself a little i7-8550u fanless box so that smashes opnSense and sensei.

So for the majority now (~80%), it isn't required to include the DHCPv4 Client-ID string *if* you also enable DHCPv6-PD.
