      Is My Line OK? Stats Inside

      I have been looking at the wiring in my house and it seems very old, and i am not to sure what the master socket looks like? (anyone got pics of one)

      My router is connected via an extrension bought from argos (So its pretty cheap quality)

      Here are my router stats

      Your attenuation suggests that you should be able to get higher connection speed than your current 14645kbps, but, how far are you will to go for 'that little bit extra'?

      Your download test shows that you can download at over 85% of your connection speed so, I don't think you can make much improvement there.

      If you are really determined to get the absolute best connection possible then by all means upgrade your wiring and sockets etc.

      Many have used the ADSL Nation faceplate and reported some improvements.

      However you should be aware that the the problem may lie outside of your control, i.e. with line between your house and the exchange, and as such you may never get the absolute maximum.
