      Faceplate wiring

Hi all, ive been reading through this forum about the master faceplate wiring and mine seems to not have wiring at all, but i think it just uses the test plug. All the wires seem to ended with plastic plugs that are pushed to the rear of the socket.

      Re: Faceplate wiring

If you don't have any extensions in the house then you will only have the wires connected to the back of the main part of the NTE5. This is your line from outside.

      Re: Faceplate wiring

If you have no phone extensions or wiring in the back of the master socket, you should be fine putting the front faceplate back on and use the socket.

The test socket behind the faceplate, eliminates any internal wiring faults. As there are no wires internally you should be good to go
