      New Connection

      Im having my Sky broadband line going live in couple weeks, i live in a brand new apartment 150 metres from exchange BT fitted new master socket 5 weeks ago will i need to buy any new equipment to get it running or will what bt fitted be suitable

      Theoretically you should be good to go, however time will tell.

      With your distance I wouldn't be too worried though, its going to be better than mine

      Well hopefully will go through ok went for product because of distance from exchange and Sky are the 1st LLU to open up. Im bit worried now that will have problems after reading some posts on here about tie issues and so. Are the routerseasy to set up and connect ?

      As long as you have a network card on your PC also known as Ethernet card, its a doddle, if you get stuck ask on here.

      I wouldn't worry too much as there is a high percentage of connections going through and considering the amount, the ones that fail are nowhere near in comparison.

      One figure quoted to me recently is that Sky are currently connecting 20,000 people a week. If only 5000 people posted a week on here, we would know that 25% of them are failing, but this is not the case.
