Providing you get the appropriate faceplate it will work fine with an internal extension (a plugged in one a little less good but still OK).
its a plugged in one, so even tohught its a plugged in extension will it help increase the speed?

sorry guys for the questions but i think i might have a problem, if i change the face plate i will be connecting the extension into the ADSL port right? but upstiars where the line will connect for my connection is also being used for sky box(multiroom) will my sky box still be able to communicate with sky even though its connected on the ADSL port downstairs?

      Re: Faceplate help

First of all, I would wait till you get connected to Sky.

      1) Try the test socket behind the master socket, measure your router stats before and after

      2) Report them in here and we can help you further

      Yep

      http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/view.php?pg=master

The best your line can handle will be the test socket, so it will give you the best indication, whether your wiring etc can be improved or not
