      Forgot to add that it does seem that nobody on here has actually used this particular filter?

      The job of a filter is to stop the ADSL signal passing to the telephone equipment. Badly designed filters let to much of the ADSL signal through that is then distorted by telephone equipment. That distorted signal is then put back on the line preventing parts of the ADSL signal from being used.
