Faceplate old!
Our house is very old and there is no Test socket in the back of the BT socket so my question is would the face plate from ADSL nation fit on to our old BT socket i.e would the size be correct as i can find any info on the size of this item

Im in the same boat! Our wiring is very old and also doesnt have a test socket! And that ADSLNation slots into a TEST SOCKET!

I think someone mentioned that you can buy one of those with master sockets on them? Just cant remember where from?
But my speeds are at a constant of 12-15mb so I really dont know what difference a NEW Socket would make for my connection?

I was going to order one fit it. and make a tutorial but I really dont think I would need one so was saving some money :cheeky:

i never had a master socket either i only had and old type box (68mm square white box with one phone socket) so i had a look about and got one of these http://www.adslnation.com/products/xtf.php i got the 68mm version so the face plate could screw direct to the original box then it was just a matter of connecting the wires to the screw down connectors on the XTF face plate,
the box/plate does come with a little bit of instructions where you can note what colour wires you got and where they went, you can also run an extension out of it via the extra push down connectors for the wires
