moving bt openreach faceplate to master socket then useing asdl extention plate

Right my flat is about 6 years old and when I moved in I noticed I had 4 adsl face plates 3 in bedroom 1 in living room.

these were never used as none of my extensions were connected as the bt man told me when he connected my phone.

anyway i was using the phone socket extension in living room as this was the only socket bt man wired up for me so had to use a filter on the phone socket for adsl for many years.

once i upgraded to fibre last year open reach guy installed a open reach socket with adsl /vdsl? in the the living room bypassing the old phone socket i been using before. (ran a small extension on the old extension wires that were on phone socket) and put new socket next to old one.

well after reading up i decided to see if i could get 1 of my adsl face plates working which i have by removing the extension wire (2/5) that was on the bt master socket and finding the right wires that go to the adsl faceplate so far all good.

so what i need to know are these 6 year old adsl face plates ok to use with fibre or am i best going back to the open reach socket?

or should i replace my front face master socket and put the open reach face on there? as my master socket does not have a adsl filter just phone socket.

i fine with having phone at master socket as don't use home phone so don't need in living room.

No matter how you do it you will better using the VDSL plate supplied by BTO. If you don't use the phone socket in the LR then you could crimp the wires together and put a blank plate on the socket. Alternately, screw the wires to your extension to the AB terminals on the backplate and fit a blank plate on the front.
