Re: ADSL Faceplate one best for me

Personally, provided that you have the funds and you aren't looking to get FTTC very soon, I would go for the vDSL faceplate. You wouldn't need to get an IDC tool since it fits between the removable faceplate and the rest of the socket.

Also an IDC tool is only required if you have internal extensions wired to the back of the existing faceplate. Your picture indicates that you have plenty extensions plugged into the front but we can't see if there are any wired behind the faceplate.

If you are looking to get FTTC (i.e. SFU or SFUP) soon then BTO will fit a vDSL faceplate for you.

Looking at your picture it appears that you have not plugged the microfilter in first. This is important and may actually make an immediate improvement to your connection speed. I would sort this out first to see if it helps.

Re: ADSL Faceplate one best for me

The extension hard-wired to the faceplate will currently require a microfilter.

The second microfilter should be plugged into your NTE5 socket.

If you could take your router's current connection stats and then take them after you have done this and post the results on this forum it would be useful to compare and confirm if this has worked.

Why not remove the faceplate, plug into the Test socket and take the stats from there?
