The only way you will get a really good speed is to get a fibre connection. Fibre is available in some parts of Cardonald/Crookston so it might be worth enquiring.

      • no fibre connection available in my area at st paul's high school glasgow off sam knows

You are approximately 2.57km from the exchange. Note that this is the straight line distance - the actual cable length will be longer!

Re: ADSL Faceplate one best for me

OK, one last try to get an improvement. Remove the faceplate from the master socket and pull of the orange wire which is connected to terminal 3. This is the ring wire and can cause interference. It is not required for the phones to work if they are plugged into a filter. Do the same with the socket your router is plugged into. After you do this, post your stats.

Have you removed the orange wire in the master socket?

If that's your stats after pulling the wire out, then I'm afraid you are not going to get any more.

Re: ADSL Faceplate one best for me

They are not much better, but don't put the wire back it is not needed, Although it is not making a lot of difference now, if it is disconnected there is no chance of it interfering in the future.
