If you go over the daily limit of 1.3Gb too many days in a row, then you get capped to the stone-age. You then need to hardly use your connection for several days in a row to get your line automatically uncapped.

This makes it almost impossible in real terms to use your monthly allowance of 40Gb.

No other ISP that resells BT Wholesale products works like this.

One member a few months back had a large update for their Xbox or PS/3. This put them over the limit and the could not use the games machine.

I have never measured the size of the M$ updates, but they could cripple your connection if you have more than one computer.

With Anytime+ about to be opened up to all ISPs other than just Sky's LLU services, anyone on Connect who doesn't already use up their limits is going to find that they really ought to move ASAP.

There are many other packages out there which are far better than the Connect package. If you gather the evidence, like many others have previously done, then you should be able to cancel before the end of your contract and move away from Sky Connect.

What a crap package!! Im a bit boned then as to what to do as its my mums broadband account and I will be moving out of home in 6 months time so there is no point in trying to pressaude her to move it as its part of a package deal and just hassle.

So whats my best course of action? Just wait for how many days till it may return to normal? Do you think if I called Sky they would uncap it? I wish they had told me this on the phone a couple of weeks ago when I was trying to find out about bandwidth limits.

How come anytime+ isnt opening up to Sky LLU?

Why not look into a 3G or a 4G dongle?

There are various contract or pay-as-you-go options available.

If you have a good signal in your area, 4G can offer blistering speeds. 3G is good enough to download video to watch live too.

Shortly Sky will open up Anytime+ so that you do not have to be on their LLU broadband service, so it won't matter who you connect through.
