      Sadly not, but their prices are good. Many members have reported excellent service with the products normally arriving the next day if you order in time for the afternoon post collection.

      Ordered 3 of the VDSL faceplates. Would have been nice for the discount as well but hey, prices were still good.

      Why would you want 3? One does the whole house, unless you are fitting them to more than one house of course.

      Re: New BT vDSL faceplate available!

      At the moment there are scenario's where you may want more than one. eg, master socket in hall with telephone connected yet you want the modem near a PC with the ability for a fax machine too at that location. At present there is no other VDSL faceplate to do this so you need two NTE5's along with the VDSL plate. The alternative is to run both filtered & unfiltered signals to an RJ11 module & BT secondary module. Of course you could always leave the modem at the master & CAT5 to the router in the other location but you would still need to run the unfiltered signal there too for the 'phone....

      One for my father's business (doesn't have FTTC available but will use this in place of the old DSL Faceplate), one for a friend and the third as a spare/for another friend.

      Re: New BT vDSL faceplate available!

      The BT VDSL Faceplates do seem to be slightly better than the nte2000 btw

      For the last 18months or so i have been running an nte2000

      on a 12db margin i always sync in at 19300-19400 with 19700 once in a blue moon
      at the default margin i sync in at 21950004 with a Max attainable of 22600-22700

      I have been running the vdsl faceplate for a few days now and it consistently reports a Max attainable of around 23.2mbit at the 7db default

      And sync's at 19700-19800 at a 12db margin

      RxATTNDR = 23158104
      TxATTNDR = 1160000
      RSUnCorrectedErrorsDn = 2
      RSUnCorrectedErrorsUp = 1
      LocalSNRMargin = 8.25 dB
      LocalLineAttn = 18.5 dB
      INPup = 0.00
      INPdown = 0.00
      LocalTxPower = 8.4 dB
      LocalFastChannelRxRate = 21950004
      LocalFastChannelTxRate = 1216000
      RemoteTxPower = 20.3 dB
      RemoteLineAttn = 6.0 dB
      RemoteSNRMargin = 9.0 dB

      Why are you running a pair soldered to the PCB rather than use the IDC terminals? You appear to have the version with IDC terminals looking at the PCB?

      Re: New BT vDSL faceplate available!

      I desoldered the bt socket from the vdsl faceplate and soldered direct to the pcb to minimize joints
      I did it with my old nte2000 and the new vdsl faceplate

      As they say at tesco every little helps
