      Hi
I have the BT ADSL wall plate installed does this VDSL face plate replace it or does it fit on the top of the ADSL plate or does it fit on an ordinary phone faceplate?

This filtered faceplate would be used instead of the filtered faceplate that you have.

If your were to use this new filtered faceplate instead then you would retain the 'normal' faceplate.

This faceplate replaces what you have(so the NTE2000 or NTE2005). You have the back plate of the NTE5 (with the test socket), then the new vDSL/ADSL faceplate, the original lower half of the NTE5 then fits on to this. If you had just an NTE5 fitted then no wiring would be required. In your case you would reinstate the orginal lower front half of the NTE5 then fit the new faceplate between the two.

It's the same design as the iPlate/Broad Band Accelerator.

Re: New BT vDSL faceplate available!

Hello im interested in buying one of these i currently have a XTE 2005 installed and im always looking for improvements if there are any?

I play on installing one of these and then getting one of these BT to RJ11 Double Adaptor to plug the phone and another extenstion wire into it to run around the room with another double adaptor on the end for the 2 sky boxes does this sound ok to do you only need this faceplate and no other filters right?

      Thanks in advance.

Hi, you don't need plug in filters with the faceplate, why do you want to double the filtered side to RJ11 though?

Re: New BT vDSL faceplate available!

I currently on have my broadband in one and phone in the other i wanted to replace my current setup with the new one if there is any difference that is and i guess future proof myself.

I dont need that exact double one i need this one i meant BT Double Adaptor for the phone and the other one will have an extenstion line plugged in with another at the other end for the 2 sky boxes, Does this sound about right?

Re: New BT vDSL faceplate available!

Yep that is correct. This faceplate is the ONLY one approved for VDSL so is the only way to currently future proof. The BT socket on the front (via the original lower front half of the NTE5) is isolated from the ADSL signal so plug in extensions are not a problem.
