Thank you for the reply isitme, I thought they'd changed something, I remember you telling me about the line attenuation and the two 'adsl' lines before.
Just phoned and was kind of fobbed off by being told they are currently running DLM on the line so my speeds will fluctuate. I was told they'd check to see if I was still on as a gaming profile but couldn't do anything if dlm was running.
Im now waiting for a call back within half hour to see if the manager can do anything as the chap I spoke to knew nothing about G.DMT or adsl2+ so fingers crossed.

hooray, back to normal...well almost.
Line attenuation has gone down to 47 and the downstream has dropped from 5200 to 3500 but my upstream is stable at 992 again so I guess they are trying to find the best stable downstream speed.
