If it is twisted pair, then you are not using a 'pair' as you should be. A pair consists of two wires with the same colour code, these are quite different. The usual UTP colours are Blue, Orange, Green and Brown. You would normally only see black and red on a drop cable.
I have to agree with Fuzzy, it looks like you are getting a false reading from your extension, but just in case, plug into your extension and phone Sky, ask them to reconfigure your line as DLM has left it very slow.
