      That is a filtered faceplate. It replaces the faceplate on your master socket isolating the Broadband to the one socket making the need for micofilters elsewhere in the house unneccessary.

      Plug-in filters are terrible and shouldn't be used if at all possible

      As far as performance goes they are all pretty much the same. BT continue to use the Pressac product which in our opinion is the better made item.
