Help routing Sky signal to second TV via loft distribution unit

I wonder of anyone can help. I currently have a loft aerial which plugs into a distribution unit that outputs to 4 TV's in the house (only 4 outputs on box and go to 4 freeview boxes) I have just had Sky+ fitted in living room so no longer need the tv aerial. I was hoping to use this cable to link to the RF out on the Sky box which would then go back up to the distribution unit. I was then hoping to put a TV link red eye on the bedroom tv and watch sky when in bed. My distribution unit is Sky red eye compatible. I have tried this set up with no luck and now need help.
Can i wire it up this way?
I don't really want to run a second cable from the loft to the living room and was trying to cheat as i no longer need an Ariel.

      Can someone help?

Have you turned the RF power on?

Services 401 select . In RF outlet, RF outlet power supply should be set to on and then save settings.

This powers the magic eye and allows you to change channels

Is it going through any wallplates to get up to the loft? If so that will be where your problem lies you need Sky magic eye compatible wallplates to send the signal through them. A lot of normal wallplates contain components which remove the voltage required.
