Serious interference when SKY+ box is plugged into phone line
Just bought a new cordless DECT phone and plugged it in to the main phone socket and got really bad interference on the line. I plugged in the old cordless phone and an old corded phone and had no interference. Have checked the other items plugged into the phone line - Talk Talk broadband router and the the Sky+ box. Unplugged the broadband router - still got interference. Unplugged the Sky + box - interference disappeared. Thes items are plugged into an extension socket with an ADSL modem/phone line splitter supplied by Talk Talk. Question is - how can I resolve the interference issue? I have got a call in with Talk Talk but suspect when they phone back they'll say it's a sky problem????

Try changing the filter which is plugged into the sky box.

Re: Serious interference when SKY+ box is plugged into phone line
Thanks Simon. Just tried a couple of old ones but no change BUT I have tried again and looks like I got the 2 lines mixed up. I actually get interference when the Talk Talk router was plugged in and its OK when the Sky box is plugged in...my mistake. Should have turned the main light on when looking!!
I'll speak to Talk Talk when they call. Thanks for your help

Interference when the router is plugged will usually be a filter issue.
