2010 which faceplate? and master box.
Hi,
I am new to here.
I have seen the sticky on here indicating which faceplate is the better one with screen shots...
However this is from a year ok. Is there any newer ones? or the ones availible have they been updating or revised?
http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/cabli...r-reviews.html
from what i can make out the XTE-2005 is the better one well was but the Austin Taylor got better results
Line Attenuation 50db and noise margin 8.1 db.
however that wasnt the XTE but the NTE which is a copy i believe as mentioned in that article.
Which is the one to go for? and where can i get it from for a good price? Solwise have sold out so anyone else?
So what about the master box? can someone please recomend a good master box.
What i will be doing is running a Cat5 cable from the back of the box rather than terminating with a RJ11.
Thanks.

Re: 2010 which faceplate? and master box.
All filter faceplates work well, get one which includes unfilterd outputs as well as filtered outputs and all will be well. I use a XTE-2005 from ADSL Nation, But Run-It Direct have a good range and a good price.
A recent member tried a filter faceplate from Maplin with good results.

I was looking at the maplins one but very Pricey.
About £28 for the master socket and filtered faceplate.
Well pricey when compared to all the other availible

Remember BT/Openreach STILL use the Pressac one (NTE2000/NTE2005). We will have the new BT vDSL Faceplate when it is released(July/August).
run-IT-direct, For all your networking, ADSL & telecom requirements.

Re: 2010 which faceplate? and master box.
I'd recommend the XTE-2005, i've fitted them at three properties with excellent results. I have had filtered sockets from solwise which have failed though.
