Switching off router kills phone line?

      Hello

My setup is quite standard: microfilter plugged into BT socket. Sagem router plugged into microfilter ADSL port. Telephone splitter plugged into microfilter phone socket. Telephone and Sky box plugged into telephone splitter.

Everything working fine, unless I switch off the router (using button on the back). Then my telephone goes dead.

Any suggestion why this might be? Thanks!

      Jason

remove the splitter and try again, if still the same try a different filter

Make sure you don't have the adsl cable plugged into one of the ethernet ports on the router, also. Make sure it's in the adsl port on the router.

^ having it in the Ethernet port would knock the phone off when router is ON, not OFF...worth noting though

Whoops, you're right, sorry, I've totally misread the thread.
