      or you can have RJ45 at one end as the socket on the faceplate will accept both

      Ahh, but he is not going to use a faceplate, just a plug in filter which will only accept RJ11. Maybe you could help him out with what you can do for him. Basically an 8m+ cable from the filter to the router.

      Sorry, we an certainly do an RJ11>RJ11 twisted pair. But to be honest if i were running a new cable i'd alays go the hard wired route.
