If I am getting as much as possible then is a filtered faceplate no use ?

If you have any extensions then it removes the phone signal from the broadband signal at the point of entry to the house.
If there is a difference in the speed or stats in the test socket to the normal postion of the router then it is worth using one and it also gets rid of the microfilters at every phone socket.
