Okay. I will attempt one last time and repeat what many have been advising you for days.

1 - reboot your router and post your stats
2 - remove the bottom half of your bt master socket to reveal the TEST socket. Put a filter in there and then the router. Boot the router back up and post your stats.

If you fail to do this, then it is impossible for people to help you.

      Thanks

      Steve.

What is the point of posting asking for advice and then ignoring it ?
      Please reread post # 11.

Should do, but as you've got an increase in the noise margin rather than an immediate increase in synch speed I would say your line is capped at your current speed and you'll need to get Sky CST to manually reconfigure your connection.

What "unwanted wires" did you remove and as ever PLEASE POST YOUR STATS!

That gain in noise margin could get the speed upto that 6Mb that you had in your test socket or it may not.

if line attenuation means how far you are from the exchange why has mine risen from 45db to 48db wouldnt that mean ive got further away from the exchange lol

wouldnt that mean ive got further away from the exchange
No, it just means that ADSL2+, which uses higher frequencies is on your line. Measuring these extra frequencies causes a rise of about 3 dbs in the attenuation.
