      Quick Question

I just had SKY MAX activated yesterday which works fine, around 4mb down 450 up atm so ive been reading these forums for help on getting better speeds

but i noticed when i took my face plate off the front of my socket, there were no wires connected...

like i could take the faceplate off, and walk around the house with it
but when i placed it back on, and plugged in my filter + cables..
i connect to it fine, also there is a test socket.

how is that possible? if im reading you have to have 2 of 5 wires connected or somet

      Re: Quick Question

You have no extensions, therefore no wires.

The incoming wires are attached to the back of the box.

      Re: Quick Question

Unless of course the wiring is not the optimal setup for ADSL and is staring out from a junction box and/or you have multiple NTE5's. The first question is, do you have more than one telephone socket? If not then as ADSL Nation says you will not have any wires on the front faceplate.

      Re: Quick Question

The back of the faceplate has a plug built onto it that plugs into the test socket when you put it on.

When you remove it you unplug it.
