    Connecting Connect

This is a discussion on Connecting Connect within the Cabling and faceplate help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; I have just a quick question about the XTE 2005 filtered faceplate, does it filter a VDSL signal....

Not that there would be much call for it to do so, but there is no reason why it should not. The filter only separates the voice part of the line, the DSL part is unfiltered. If you do not want to use a telephone or other device on the line, you do not need a filter for broadband to operate efficiently.

Hi Mike the Bt Test Result plus stats are what you need to show the test shows your IP Profile and Actual IP Throughput achieved during test thats the only thing Sky will take notice off and yes you like a lot of connect Customers are being throttled not traffic managed those stats you should be getting at least 3mbs. The last page shows the last couple of days tests. afternoon and night some throttled they are my tests http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-b...owed-down.html

Not really, you speed is being held back by capacity issues on the network, until Sky add more capacity (which they won't) you will continue to see the speeds you have now.

The only cure it to leave and go to another ISP that can offer better service but you may pay more for it.

      Thanks Smithy
After previous encounters with ISP's I think I'll stick with Sky Connect for now.

      Better the devil you know.

And besides this is the best speed I've ever had

      Thanks for the reply

      Mike
