      Cabling/Telephone issues?

      Hi,
      I switched the telephone cable between the socket and the sky box to the ribbon type in November last year with no problems, however now I'm having problems when I receive calls, I'm getting distortion when answering calls and makes it very difficult to hear. I have disconnected the cable (for the upgrades) for the moment and the phone works fine.
      I fitted the ribbon cable because of wooden flooring and up until now I've had no problems. Any suggestions?

      Do you have to have the Sky box plugged in all the time? If you are out of the 12 months contract and don't have multi room, you only need to plug it in when you want to order something. The ribbon, under the carpet cable, is very useful, but they are very easily damaged, probably what has happened to yours.

      Yes, I've had sky for approx 12 years and I don't have multi-room. I know the ribbon can be easily damaged, but it's under the flooring apart from where it's connected to!
