Making Cables Longer!
Hello,
I need to move the Sky box from one part of the living to another and I need to know where to buy extensions for the two co-ax cables that come from the dish and go into the box.
Also, the type of telephone cable needed from the Sky box to the wall.
Hope someone can help. I've searched and can't find anything!
Cheers.Last edited by richone54; 21-05-08 at 03:25 PM. Reason: email removed to avoid spam

Re: Making Cables Longer!
To extend the sat cables you should have
(1) sufficent length of CT100 cable
(2) 4 F connectors
(3) 2 in-line F connector couplers.
Fit the F connectors to the two extensions and make sure there are no short circuits between the inner and the outer screen. then use the couplers to connect to the orignal cable and all should be well.
To extend the telephone cable a standard telephone extension cable will do fine
To make off the f connectors follow this guide.
