should i remove the wires i dont need?

      Hi all

I have just moved into a new house and have had my BB conected, after posting my stats on here, it was mentioned that by the looks of my stats they dont think i was in the master socket. i unscrewed the faceplate off the wall and it looks like this

I know its not a very good picture but there seems to be a lot of wires in there, i have 1 other socket in the house which is upstairs but the socket i have show is the first one that enters the house.

I dont need to use the extension socket so i could disconect it if needed.

      here are my line stats

Re: should i remove the wires i dont need?

      Hi danny.
In the first instance, I would just remove the wires to No3 and see what effect that has.

there's nothing wrong with those stats though, bearing in mind this is a Connect user so speed will go up/down during the day as line conditions change...

      IANTE.
Thats why I said to just pull 3 first. It would be nice to see if the noise margin could go up a bit
