      That said, is that a power cable running under your master? If so then that won't help. Also, all that coiled wiring could feasibly give rise to an induction coil effect.

      However, CRC errors are only part of the picture and need to be looked at in relation to the other stats not just a numerical count (your errored seconds for example are minimal). In my opinion, your errors are only a little high and probably not worth worrying about.

      Hi Monday.
      First off that is not a BT master, nor did BT fit it. ( they only fit IDC ones) so you have nothing to loose by replacing it with a NTE-5 master. Do this close to where the line enters (that grey cable is copper on steel, I take it you have an overhead line) You will need to keep the small junction box because the grey cable will not fit a NTE-5 master A and B IDC connections.
      It's then plain saling to go down the filter faceplate, router close to master path.
