      Filter Help

My internet cuts off every time the phone rings, and i have 2 phones, 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs. Ive found out its down to bad filters but i cant fix it. I've tried different filters. My friend had the same problem, but he put filters on all of his phones, (3) and its fixed his problem.

Heres the big problem: my upstairs phone is wireless. As in, the charger only plugs into the wall to supply eletric to it. Its got no other wires except that, so there is no way to put a filter on that... I think...

      Any help is appreciated, thx

      Re: Filter Help

it's only an issues if the base station plugs into the phone line - if it runs off another base station then so long as thats in a filter then you shouldn't have an issue

you'd benefit from a filtered faceplate and then just have your router in the master (assuming you have an NTE5 master)...no other filters would then be needed...

      Re: Filter Help

Are you connecting to the internet through wireless. I was wondering if there is a problem with the phone and the wireless adapter working on the same frequency.

      Re: Filter Help

^^^ Exactly what I was thinking. It might be an idea to post router stats to see whether it is actually disconnecting from the exchange or just the wireless.

      Re: Filter Help

Well, i have the DG834GT, and the internet icon, the big I (between the 1 and the broadcast icon thing) switches off. Then about 10-20 seconds later it starts flashing orange then turns green. This happens every time the phone rings/ring out/put it down. Dont know if this helps

      Re: Filter Help

Any Sky digiboxes, alarms, fax machines etc. plugged into the line perhap missing a filter? If not and the filters have been changed it must be a line fault.

      Re: Filter Help

new to this ADSL lark but I know that if the phone and the router are running at 2.4ghz you should be able to change the channel (at least on the router) on one of them to quickly rule out if it's a wireless signal clash
