      Normal to have no wiring attatched to faceplate?

      Hi, was wondering if it was normal to have no wiring attatched to the outer faceplate? (The one that is screwed off) Cause I'm going to test the test socket and wondering if that makes a change?

      You should only have wiring attached to the face plate if you have extension sockets in your house.
