should i send the the nte faceplate back?

i got my nte 2005 faceplate last thursday. connected up all the wires and it worked fine. then someone on here said to take out the ring wire so i did that and tried to put the faceplate back on. but when i put the faceplate back on the internet light doesnt come on but when you take the faceplate off and connect it upto the test socket using the microfilter the internet light comes back on. should i send it back to adslnation? also i've noticed that the screws are possibly too big for the faceplate as they are now stuck in the faceplate and won't come back out. anyone got contact details for adslnation?
