      BT extensions help

      Hi All
      I am currently with bt and aol. Moving to sky BB soon.
      My problem at the mo is my line keeps disconected me from the net.

      I dont really want to drag cable all through the house and was happy using the extension in my room to run BB.

      Should i call BT to send someone out to the fix the problem?

      Any recomendation on my best option here

      Can I just check that you have a filter on EVERy socket that is in use in your house, that iuncludes phones, broadband and sky boxes?

      BT have no responsibility to fix any problems caused by your own extensions or other internal phone wiring.


      Check your test socket - it's behind the faceplate on the front of the master socket. Try connecting using the test socket. If that improves things, then it's your extensions causing the issue.

      So then... remove the ring wire (if you haven't already), get a filtered faceplate, etc... lots of info in this subforum.
