Either a faulty microfilter or one not fitted would be my first thought. Every phone, digibox etc must have its own microfilter.

tried that but no connection. I've got the master socket with Sky+ plugged in first. This has got two expansion sockets one i've plugged the phone into and the other is extension to a socket in study. Plugged into the extension is a filter one side the fax machine the other side my netgear router. Please help.

Does it? Doesn't sound like it from your description.

      Re: Internet Cutting Off

you need to plug your extension into the master socket. at the other end plug in your filter, then your modem cable and second phone.

If you have a socket on the back of the extension plug in the master socket, plug in your second filter. into this put your sky line and your first phone into the back of this.

basically they all feed off your extension so that your broadband has a direct path to the socket
